Adept AD-CHIPBOARD Water Underfloor Heating Kits
Adept AD-CHIPBOARD Underfloor Heating is the Premier Heating Kit, including an A Rated Pump and 12mm PERT Pipe.
Adept AD-CHIPBOARD Heating Kits are all designed for a single zone, however can be adjusted with the use of any Adept or Heatmiser controls from within our store. Each Kit is designed to use 150mm centres using a 22mm Foiled Grooved Chipboard panel. The Kits are designed to output 100w/m2.
Adept AD-CHIPBOARD is an underfloor heating solution that utilises chipboard panels with pre-routed grooves, allowing you to easily install underfloor heating pipe quickly and efficiently.
Each AD-CHIPBOARD panel measures 2400 x 600 x 22mm,are P5 moisture resistant and use 12mm underfloor heating pipe, which is pierced through the foil upon installation into the pipe channels in the chipboard.
The tongue and grooved edges of AD-CHIPBOARD panels are glued to adjoining panels, as well as to the joists, before installation. In addition, the panels are screwed to the joists. This is followed by the installation of the 12mm underfloor heating pipe.
You can lay carpet, laminate, or timber straight over the 6mm+ of plywood. If you are laying tiles or vinyl, make sure the sub deck is suitable for the finished product by following the manufacturer's instructions. Many options are available on the market, and some will require either a thicker ply, a thin tile backer/cement board or even a skim layer over the ply.
A minimum of 6mm flooring grade ply layer bonded and mechanically fixed to the chipboard. As an alternative, the floor finish can be bonded directly to the chipboard if it is at least as strong as the 6mm of ply (e.g. 14mm engineered wood). By using 6mm plywood, you create a sacrificial deck, so if the floor finish is to be removed and replaced later, you won't damage the underfloor heating.

Notes:
- Vinyl & Carpet floor finishes will need over-boarding with minimum 6mm plywood before you install the floor finish. You can also use self levelling compound with 5mm latex.
